The Phoenix Philanthropy Group’s name comes not from the vibrant city in which I happen to live – but from the Phoenix: the mythical fire bird.
It attests to our commitment to change and transformation – rising up, recreating, transforming, giving new life and energy everyday to ourselves and to our clients.
When I founded The Phoenix Philanthropy Group in 2004, I reflected on the legacy of my parents. My father was a small town doctor, my mother a small town mayor. Together they were leading volunteers and philanthropists. They were committed to enhancing the quality of life for their community, to changing the world around them - one life, one person at a time.
Now, my commitment is to expand upon their work; to scale it to serve a much more expansive, global community. It may sound idealistic, but our goal really is to make the world a better place. And my bet is that you have that same vision, too.
While we are passionate and idealistic at The Phoenix Philanthropy Group, we are equally pragmatic and professional. Changing the world – changing your organization’s world by becoming a part of your team – requires personal energy, practical experience, great ideas, and genuine commitment.
