Wayne D. Parker, Ph.D.
A licensed psychologist, certified counselor, and certified teacher, Dr. Wayne Parker has taught at the college level and internationally in Austria, Mexico, and Venezuela. As a Senior Researcher at Johns Hopkins University, Wayne conducted external evaluations of educational programs for the gifted and conducted research on the personality and adjustment of gifted youth. His research at Hopkins was awarded three times with the Mensa International Award for Research Excellence. He was one of the founding staff and for 15 years was the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, the largest philanthropy in Arizona. At the Trust, he evaluated scores of nonprofits in early childhood, adolescence, education, health care, geriatrics, and arts and culture.
Volunteer Highlights (past & present): Wayne’s volunteer highlights include Board of Directors, Boys and Girls Club of Lansing; Co-founder, Arizona Feral Cats; Board of Directors, Arizona Grantmakers Forum; International Rescue Committee; and Ending Homelessness Advisory Committee.
